Please read these terms and conditions carefully before ordering from us. You should print a copy of these terms and conditions for your future reference. You understand that by ordering any goods, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Please understand that if you refuse to accept these Terms and Conditions, you will not be able to order any goods from us.
To be able to place an order you need to agree to these Terms & Conditions” by ticking in the box marked ‘I have read and agree to Terms and Conditions’ in the order process if you accept them.
Ingredients
All recipes are used with good quality ingredients only. Only the finest unsalted butter goes into our premium buttercream, even in sponges, cupcakes and biscuits. No cheap alternatives, no preservatives, no funny stuff, no semi-finished products, no frozen products. All the cakes and other treats are freshly baked to order and not being frozen! We also offer VEGAN options, GLUTEN free and DAIRY free options.
Our cakes and other treats are all handmade to order, designed with true love and passion giving delicious results. Each product is decorated by hand. Our cake toppers/decorations are handmade by us especially for your requests.
At 'CV-Cakes', we are constantly trying out new recipes, so you will always be able to find your favourites, new and old. We’re focused on nurturing the business, we're never standing still and are always adding new styles to our range and looking for ways to improve.
Stacked cakes will be supported by wooden or plastic dowel food safe rods which should be carefully removed prior to serving.
If some of the elements of your product may not be edible it will be highlighted on your 'Important information' card which is provided with each product. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that all inedible items are removed from the product prior to serving and we cannot accept any liability in that respect.
Allergy/ Dietary information:
Each product has description of allergens what it contains.
All of our products are suitable for vegetarians, however VEGAN, GLUTEN free and DAIRY free options are also available. While nuts are not an ingredient in your ordered product, every care is taken to prevent nuts entering the production process, for legal reasons we must advise that this product may contain some traces of nuts.
Products also can contain wheat, gluten, eggs and soya.
Package design
Once orders are ready for collection/ delivery they are placed in the specially designed boxes to help protect the carefully decorated cakes or other treats. Cakes supplied on the special cake boards.
If the cake you ordering is a surprise or gift for someone, there is an option for a small charge to choose one of our greeting cards with your message and also the lid of cake box can be beautifully decorated with a ribbon and bow at the colours of 'CV-Cakes' logo (pink, grey, black) what makes your cake to be a beautiful gift.
Storage:
Each product including 'Luxury Fresh Flower and macaron boxes' is provided with 'Important information' card which explains how product should be stored.
Store in a cool, dry place in a closed container/ box, some of the cakes should be kept in the fridge. The cake can stay fresh for up to 3-5 days after delivery if it is stored properly. If the cake is covered with the fondant icing it helps create a natural barrier from the air that causes cakes to go stale.
Macarons should be kept in fridge in an air tight container and can last for about 3-4 days at most.
Please note if storing cake in a fridge, fondant decorations can stay damp and loose the shape.
Ordering
We only accept orders in written format.
Orders should be booked at least 2 weeks/ at least 4 days for 'Luxury gift boxes' before required date however please contact us if your order is urgent and we will try our best if there is anything we can help with!
Ordering is very simple for cakes and other treats – go to 'CAKES & OTHER TREATS'

For wedding cakes, Cheese and Deli larder or Sweets table please contact us.
We will get in touch with you as soon as possible it usually takes up to 24h. We will send you an email to confirm all the necessary details about your order (if there will be any) and will send your order confirmation/ invoice to your provided e-mail also confirmation e-mail will be sent to inform you that your payment has been received and your order accepted.
Order is accepted only when payment has been received and it can be cancelled without warning if payment isn't received in time making booking date available for another customer.
All the alterations of your order we need to get in written format and not later than 7 days before order needs to be completed.
Product in real life may look slightly different from the illustration due to being handmade also 'no second cake is the same' due to cakes being handmade we can not guarantee exactly the same cake as it's on the pictures sent in by customers etc but we can make design which is as similar as possible.
If you can't find required quantities in "Order here" section or you have special order, please contact us and we will discuss your requirements.
It is your responsibility to make sure what flavours you have chosen for your order.
Cheese & Deli larder
Your order becomes reserved only when £50 security deposit is received it also will be kept until the end of your event and will be refunded when we will make sure that nothing is damaged or lost. After setting up your Cheese and Deli larder we will leave the list of used things and their values for you. This is additional refundable payment and not being deducted from the price of 'Cheese & Deli larder'.
Payments
A 50% down payment of the balance is expected 8 weeks prior to the event date. If the 'Cheese & Deli larder' being booked in less then 8 weeks before the event, the down payment will be paid in ADDITION to the deposit.
Final payment
The final balance is due 4 weeks before the event date. If your 'Cheese & Deli larder' is booked less than 4 weeks before the event date, the total amount is due immediately and your order will not be placed until payment is received.
Changes
Changes to your order will be accepted until 2 weeks prior to the event date.
Delivery and Set-up
Delivery and set up is included in the price for orders over £200 for most places within 20 miles radius of CV-Cakes. All other deliveries are £1 per mile. No pick-ups by customers.
Cancellation Policy
Orders cancelled prior to the 14 day lockout date can be refunded up to 50% of balance paid. The 50% retainer will not be refunded. Orders cancelled after 14 day lockout date will no be refunded.
The order can be cancelled if payment isn't received in time making booking date available for another customer.
Wedding cakes
Deposit/ booking
Your order becomes reserved only when £100 deposit is received and the cake contract is drawn up (100% needs to be paid in the case the cake is booked less than 1 month in advance). The deposit is NON - REFUNDABLE in the event of a cancellation. Cakes are first come first serve and we only do a limited number of cakes per week.
We will ask you to fill in the questionnaire of your requirements, number of guests, venue location and your wedding style.
Cakes samples
Cake samples are also available for £20 refundable deposit. Which covers the cost of making 4 different tasting samples, preparing cake designs and quotes. This will be deducted from the cost of your wedding cake if you go ahead and book the cake with us (applies to orders over £200, if your order is less than this, charge will not be refunded). The charge of £20 for cake tasting samples is NON - REFUNDABLE in event of cancellation.
Down payment
A 50% down payment of the remaining balance is expected 8 weeks prior to the event date. If the cake being ordered in less then 8 weeks before the event, the down payment will be paid in ADDITION to the deposit (75%).
Final payment
The final balance is due 4 weeks before the event date. If your cake is ordered less than 4 weeks before the event date, the total amount is due immediately and your order will not be placed until payment is received. The cake will not be made if final payment has not been received.
Cake changes
Changes to your cake order: size, description, flavours, etc. will be accepted until 2 weeks prior to the event date.

Our Guarantee
We promise to do everything in our power to deliver you a cake that exceeds your expectations. We will work with you on every level to make sure you are completely satisfied and happy with your cake. Please note that colours and design of actual cake may vary slightly from computer mock-up or sketches due to the nature of digital/ hand painting and edible components.
Two copies of 'Wedding cake contract' needs to be signed between customer and 'CV-Cakes'. One copy to be kept by each side.
Along with your wedding cake you also will receive cutting example instruction, allergens and non edible elements information, frosting & defrosting instruction of your cake. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that all inedible items are removed from the cake prior to serving and we cannot accept any liability in that respect.
Payment and cancellation
We are asking for full amount to be paid when ordering.
We accept payments made via bank transfer.
If payment is not received within 7 days/ 4 days for 'Luxury gift boxes' before order needs to be completed we’re cancelling your order and leaving this space available for another customer. If you’re cancelling your order at least 7 days/ 4 days for 'Luxury gift boxes' before order needs to be completed we are returning full amount - 100% payment of order. If less than 7 days/4 days for 'Luxury gift boxes' the payment will not be refunded.
Delivery
We understand that you may be just too busy to pick up your chosen product or you are making surprise to someone special that’s why we offer fantastic delivery service to help you out.
Your order will be carefully delivered to your chosen address and date you booked it.
However small charge will apply.
Delivery charge is £0.50 per mile (starting from Malpas, Cheshire).
Collections are welcome from Malpas, Cheshire.
When you are placing order you need to notify us that you will require delivery service, when you will receive order confirmation you will be informed what exact delivery charge to your chosen address is. This will be added to your invoice and should be paid by bank transfer.
We offer our customers three delivery options.
These include:
1. Morning Delivery; anytime between
09.00 – 12.30
2. Day Delivery; anytime between
13.00 – 16.00
3. Afternoon Delivery; anytime between
17.00 – 20.00
You will be asked to sign for your order when collecting or receiving by delivery.
After signing order confirmation of collection or delivery you become fully responsible for your received goods.
Our Liability
Our liability to you is strictly limited to the price of the product and we cannot be held responsible for any indirect losses which may happen as a consequence of any breach by ourselves of these terms however arising. However, this does not include or limit in any way our liability for any matter for which it would be illegal for ourselves to exclude, or attempt to exclude, our liability.
Entire Agreement
These terms and conditions together with our current prices, delivery details and contact details set out the whole of our agreement relating to the supply of a cake or cake related products to you. Nothing said by any member of 'CV-Cakes' employees on our behalf should be taken as a variation of these terms and conditions or as an authorised representation about the nature or quality of our cakes. Save for fraud and fraudulent misrepresentation, we shall have no liability for any such representation being untrue or misleading.
Please understand that if you refuse to accept these Terms and Conditions, you will not be able to order any goods from us.
